In 2021, we produced 10,000kg of conventional honey in eight varieties: Jujube, Niger, Monofloral, Three-step flower, Sesame, Sunflower, Mustard, and Multifloral. Our Enterprise intend to produce more and more every year.

Processing

Our factory is in Pindaya, a very pretty town in a beautiful landscape and lively, agricultural villages in the Shan State. Pindaya has magical limestone caves of mythical stories and more than 8,000 Buddha images in a labyrinth of chambers and tunnels. 


Our factory was expertly designed with specific areas for the different functions, including processing,

packaging, and storing. 


We use a stainless-steel extractor. Our warehouse has a storage capacity of 40 tons. 

Production process

  1. Receive raw honey
  2. Storage of raw honey
  3. Raw sampling
  4. 3-step filtration – primary, secondary, and final (CCP Point)
  5. Bottling and vacuum sealing
  6. Labelling

  8. Product distribution and transport

We have an earnest working culture. We ensure at the start of honey season our staff are familiar with procedures and records are clear and well documented. 


The factory produces honey and bee products like pure beeswax, candles and balm with different essential oils including lemongrass, lavender, citronella, orchid, jasmine, and frangipani.

Packaging

Our packaging includes a significant emphasis on storytelling [see images below], showcasing the project values and community impact.

We use premium quality packaging designs on both glass jar and PET bottles. We highlight the different monofloral honeys and their flavours, tastes, and colours.

Artisanal packaging

Plan Bee packaging uses an artistic value-added style to communicate quality (attention to detail) and nature (paper tag and rope). It differentiates itself from other, more industrial-looking packaging. 

New packaging design launch

Local honey currently depends on local consumers. Though people love glass jars, other target customers prefer a plastic squeeze bottle. 


To meet these demands, Plan Bee launched a new packaging design for PET squeeze bottles (food grade). We paid attention to branding and design and finally chose 1kg, 500g and 250g bottles as per international standards.

We sell in different channels, including wholesale, retail, online, e-commerce, niche markets, general supermarkets. Our focus is local retail and high-end supermarkets. 


Currently we provide an OEM service for one of the biggest supermarkets in Myanmar.


We are trustworthy and reliable and produce consistently high-grade honey. We hope that one day soon people around the world can enjoy our delicious honey.


There is so much scope with bee products. We are exploring polish from beeswax cosmetics. Soon we will start selling our essential oil balm in pharmacies once we receive our FDA registration.
